Chris and Dave are back in their usual spots, one in the heart of Wisconsin and one under the Arch, to sort through a win that was equal parts relief and horror movie. The Packers slogged past the Jets in overtime in the rain, lost key players before the first drive was over, drew flags by the bucketful, and somehow walked out 1 and 1. It was ugly. It counts. The guys spend the hour figuring out which of those matters more.

Where they land depends on who you ask. Chris sees a defense and special teams finally worth trusting, an offense being held back by a line that never seems to develop, and officials who treated the game like a flag throwing contest. Dave is less focused on the flags and more fixated on the play calling, convinced a little imagination could unlock this offense overnight, and he’s quietly coming around on a certain edge rusher he spent three years doubting. They agree on more than they let on, which only makes the arguing more fun.

The betting lines return with a new champion checking into the hotel casino, a running back breakout prediction Dave wants on the record, and a fourth and one question that refuses to die. The tiebreaker comes down to a single yard between them, which tells you everything about how well these two know each other.

Next up, the Falcons come to Lambeau on Thursday night, and the guys are cautiously hopeful. Good weather, a home crowd, and a chance to get to 2 and 1 before a mini bye. And if the broadcast doesn’t find a way to work in Brett Favre, Chris and Dave will be very surprised.

Posting its first show in 2005, Packers Therapy is the longest-running Packers podcast on the Internet. Hosts Chris and Dave began the show as a way of capturing the spirited chats the two co-workers had about the team around the office. The two have no pretense about being experts: they are just two opinionated shareholders who love the team, follow it closely, but don’t always see the Packers fortunes eye to eye.

The guys encourage comments and questions via their Twitter feed @PackersTherapy or email to packerstherapy@yahoo.com and read and respond to as many as they can during each show.

Packers Therapy is a part of the Packers Talk family of podcasts, serving up five distinct podcasts to satisfy the most fervent of Packer fans.
