Packers Win In OT: Special Teams, Expensive Problems | Cheesehead Radio #391 tackles the Green Bay Packers’ overtime victory over the New York Jets, Jordan Love’s struggling offense, Skyy Moore’s special teams heroics and a mounting injury list ahead of Thursday Night Football against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Packers escaped New York with a win. Their expensive offense escaped with considerably less dignity.

C.D. Angeli, Jersey Al Bracco and Kelly Hodgson unpack a game in which Green Bay managed just 199 yards of offense, put the football on the ground five times and required the supposedly supporting cast to carry the production. Skyy Moore delivered the field position. Trey Smack delivered the finish. Daniel Whelan continued making punting look like a perfectly respectable offensive strategy.

We give Jonathan Gannon’s defense its flowers, celebrate Lukas Van Ness’s breakthrough and examine whether rookie Jager Burton is helping an unsettled offensive line find some backbone. Sean Rhyan and Burton also deliver a useful reminder: hit Jordan Love, and somebody should have something to say about it.

Tucker Kraft supplies the episode’s reality check: a win cannot mask the problems. That opens the floor for a Kaleb Johnson–MarShawn Lloyd debate, another officiating grievance session and a question for Matt LaFleur: can the offense fit the available personnel before everyone else needs a maintenance day?
